Job Overview: We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Equipment Operator to join our Third Shift Service Center team. This role is essential to our overnight operations and involves hands-on material handling, including loading and unloading trucks using overhead cranes, forklift operation, rigging, and general warehouse duties. Committed to working non-traditional overnight hours and who can maintain high performance and attention to safety during third shift operations. The Equipment Operator will support the Service Center by safely and efficiently handling steel and other materials throughout the facility. This includes operating material handling equipment, preparing shipments, and ensuring accurate and timely movement of products in and out of the facility during overnight hours.
This position requires strong attention to safety, the ability to work independently during overnight shifts, and consistent reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Load and unload trucks using overhead cranes
• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely
• Perform rigging activities to move heavy or awkward materials
• Accurately stage, sort, and prepare materials for shipment
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies
• Inspect equipment and report maintenance or safety concerns
• Maintain clean and organized work areas
• Assist with general warehouse and service center operations as needed
  Work efficiently with minimal supervision during overnight hours
  Qualifications:
• Prior experience in warehouse, manufacturing, or material handling environment required
• Experience operating forklifts and/or overhead cranes strongly required
• Knowledge of rigging and safe lifting practices is a plus
• Ability to lift, move, and handle heavy materials safely as required
• Strong focus on safety and attention to detail
• Reliable and consistent attendance is required
• Must be fully committed to third shift (12:30 AM - 9:00 AM, Monday-Friday)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
