Join a busy, fast-paced occupational health clinic as a PRN Registered Nurse in Tucson, AZ , where you'll provide high-quality care to client employees in a collaborative and supportive environment. This is a great opportunity for an RN who enjoys variety, works well independently, and values consistent daytime hours with no weekends. Clinic hours are Monday through Thursday, 7:00 AM-5:00 PM, and Friday, 7:00 AM-4:00 PM. What You'll Do- Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements related to clinical operations and manages required physical evaluations (OSHA, DOT, CDC, etc.)
- Evaluates, treats, and prioritizes patient care within the scope of practice
- Delivers evidence-based care to injured workers, accelerates return to work, and coordinates case management with the TPA and client
- Implements and monitors transitional duty programs for injured workers
- Performs and documents medical tests, screenings, and treatments as defined in site contract (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision)
- Administers medications and emergency care within legal scope of practice
- Maintains medical equipment, ensures a clean and safe environment, and follows infection control procedures
- Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
- Educates patients on health promotion and participates in follow-up care
- Collaborates with healthcare professionals and resources, and company departments on health programs and injury prevention
- Assists with accident investigations, return-to-work programs, and workplace safety initiatives
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Certificate from an accredited Nursing School or Associate degree (A.S.) is required; Bachelor's degree (BSN) from four-year college or university is preferred
- Currently licensed Registered Nurse in state of practice required
- Certification in Occupational Health (COHN/COHN-S), Emergency Nursing, or Case Management preferred and may be required for some sites
- Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services
- At least three years' experience as a Registered Nurse in an occupational health clinic, emergency room, or other ambulatory care clinic
- Experience in strategies to promote and maintain healthy, safe, and productive workplaces, including: partners to identify/mitigate workplace hazards, health screenings/education, fitness for duty, and return to work exams
