Responsibilities Repair composite parts and components using Wet Layup and Prepreg techniques. Utilize clean rooms, autoclaves, and controlled ovens for curing processes. Apply various bonding methods including co‑curing, co‑bonding, secondary bonding, metal bonding, liquid adhesives, and film. Use close‑tolerance measuring tools such as scales, micrometers, calipers, and depth gauges. Operate hand tools such as drill motors, die grinders, rivet guns, and fastener installation tools. Align and assemble components using jigs, templates, and fixtures. Wear PPE when cutting, grinding, blending, or sanding. Bag components accurately for a wide range of shapes and styles. Operate a Hot‑Bonder machine for cure procedures. Maintain, clean, and repair shop facilities, equipment, and tooling as needed. Safely operate shop equipment including curing ovens, autoclaves, and vacuum systems. Navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases with basic computer skills. Communicate clearly in English—speaking, writing, and reading. Perform other job‑related duties as assigned by supervisors. Follow FAA guidelines, company safety rules, and customer‑oriented work habits. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Airframe & Powerplant license not required but welcomed. Valid driver’s license approved for airline travel is preferred; valid passport is acceptable. Experience Journeyman: 0–5 years as a composite technician. Master: 5+ years’ experience as a composite technician. Physical Requirements Lift up to 50 lbs. Routine walking, bending, squatting, and sitting. Repetitive arm and hand motions. Climb ladders and stairs; work in small, restricted areas. Stand for long periods. Other Requirements Reliable transportation for daily commute. Self‑motivated team player able to work under deadlines. Notify supervisor in advance if unable to work. Work under the supervision of an assigned Team Leader.
