The Power BI Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting enterprise Power BI dashboards, reports, and semantic data models that enable data-driven decision-making across the organization. This role transforms complex datasets into intuitive, high-performing visualizations, develops advanced DAX calculations, and builds scalable reporting solutions while collaborating closely with business and technical stakeholders. The ideal candidate has 8+ years of experience transforming complex datasets into performant data models , 4+ years of hands-on Power BI development including dashboards, reports, semantic models, and advanced DAX, 2+ years of experience managing Power BI workspaces, gateways, scheduled refreshes, security, testing, and report validation , 2+ years collaborating with cross-functional teams , and 2+ years using Git/BitBucket for source control . Experience working with Texas state agencies OR Special Education/Public Education datasets is required , while experience with SAS (.sas7bdat), Jira, SAP BusinessObjects, or Tableau is preferred. The successful candidate will be able to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver high-quality, scalable BI solutions with minimal supervision.
