Test Development EngineerFireye is a leading global provider of commercial combustion control solutions, specializing in HVAC and Burner Boiler markets. Fireye provides combustion and detection fire safety solutions that protect people and property.The Test Development Engineer will ensure the quality of Fireye products via Test Equipment Design, improvements, calibration, and maintenance. The Test Development Engineer will also aid quality and manufacturing engineers in the Root Cause Analysis, mistake proofing, and defect prevention efforts.The Test Development Engineer position reports directly to the Senior Manager of Quality Assurance, Operations Engineering and EH&S and will interact directly with Operations, Quality, Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineers, Supply Chain and Finance to achieve the desired outcome; continually improve our products and processes while aligning and driving the company culture.Key Responsibilities:Design and Debug Test Equipment for Manufacturing / OperationsDevelop Test Plans and Equipment for existing products and new products with inputs from Design / Hardware Engineering, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing Engineering, Validation Engineering and Product ManagersMaintain current production test equipmentSupport New Test Equipment strategies with New Products and Manufacturing EngineeringProvide technical support to Quality, Manufacturing and Engineering on a variety of tasksMaintain and / or create proper documentation for existing and new developed test equipmentConduct Preventive Maintenance, soldering, wiring and setup of test equipment and fixtures as required to improve testing and / or correct false failuresCommunicate and drive improvements with the Quality Assurance groupQualifications:BS in Electrical Engineering or upcoming college degreeSelf-motivated individual that continually seeks growthAbility to work well independently and cross-functionally as part of an established and growing teamAbility to build effective working relationships, influence and problem-solve complex issuesHands-on experience with component level troubleshooting of analog circuitsProficient in use and operation of electronic tools/equipment such as oscilloscopes, powermeters, frequency counters, multimeters, and spectrum analyzersProficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel softwareDemonstrated ability interpreting engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and proceduresAt Fireye, we offer a dynamic work environment where innovation and personal growth are encouraged.Fireye is An Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
