Job Description
Cardiac Device Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Cardiac Device Registered Nurse (RN) to join our outpatient team. This role focuses on providing exceptional care in managing cardiac devices for adults and geriatric patients.

Job Responsibilities

• Device management and post-operative wound checks
• Remote monitoring of devices
• Collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team
• Conducting planned clinic visits and peri-operative management
• Addressing device consults that may arise throughout the day

Work Environment

This position operates within a clinic setting, which typically runs Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, with staggered start times available. The role involves coverage across multiple outpatient settings, requiring travel between locations as necessary.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in cardiac device management
• Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Certified Cardiac Device Specialist (CCDS) are required
• Preference will be given to candidates with Certified Electrophysiology Specialist (CEPS) certification

Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of various cardiac devices, including those from Boston Scientific, Medtronic, Abbott, and Biotronik. Experience in post-implant wound management is an asset.

Orientation and Support

New hires will undergo a general orientation, including training on the Epic EMR and device management systems, followed by practical sessions with a preceptor to ensure readiness for the role.
