Field Service Technician

Responsibilities Stage, install, and commission manual, semi‑automatic, and automatic tray‑sealing machinery and tooling. Travel extensively (80–90% of the time) including air travel. Advise and provide support for third‑party equipment supplier integration. Perform remote or on‑site support for equipment breakdown situations. Manage and interpret on‑site customer requirements and expectations. Install, diagnose, and repair mechanical and pneumatic assemblies (motors, drum rollers, belts, bushings, bearings, rollers, valves, cylinders). Install, diagnose, and repair multiple AC/DC electrical systems (PLC's, HMI's, VFD's, power supplies, servo motors/amplifiers, temperature controllers, phase monitors, contactors, relays, transformers, heaters). Use standard test instruments, hand tools, and computer software for installation and repair work. Consult and communicate with design engineers, management, and customers to resolve issues in system design, operation, and maintenance. Provide accurate and detailed service visit reports. Requirements High School Diploma or GED required. At least 21 years of age. Valid United States driver’s license and good driving record. Background check and drug screening clearance. Willingness to work overtime and adapt to dynamic work schedules and flexible shifts. Two years of experience in a food processing/production environment with a primary focus on heat sealing (desired). Technology‑based degree or vocational training is a plus. Degree in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering is a plus. Experience in electromechanical engineering, mechatronics, or machine automation is a plus. Experience with VSP technology and servicing automated equipment is a plus. Proficiency with hand tools and ability to use them safely. Ability to read and interpret electrical and pneumatic schematics. Strong computer and database skills. Demonstrate a high degree of reliability and punctuality. Travel Requirements Travel 80–90% of the time, including air travel on short notice. Physical Requirements Work in cold ( >32°F) and hot ( Stand for long periods of time.
