Great Valley School District is seeking a dedicated and responsible Head Custodian for Sugartown Elementary School. The Head Custodian oversees and coordinates custodial operations within the building, ensuring compliance with district cleanliness standards and supporting the school's educational mission.

Job Responsibilities

• Supervise Custodian Staff: Assign duties, monitor performance, and maintain high standards of cleanliness and professionalism
• Plan and Manage Cleaning Schedules: Develop daily, seasonal, and special-event cleaning plans to ensure safety and appearance
• Maintain Supplies and Equipment: Inventory and organize supplies, ensure equipment is operational, and perform minor repairs
• Perform Cleaning Duties: Clean and disinfect classrooms, offices, restrooms, and common area; polish floors and surfaces
• Grounds and Seasonal Care: Maintain school grounds and remove snow/ice as needed
• Security and Safety: Ensure building security, report hazards, and follow safety protocols for chemicals and equipment
• Support School Activities: Set up and clean up for events; assist with moving furniture and unloading supplies
• Communication and Reporting: Maintain clear communication with the Supervisor of Facilities and report maintenance needs
• Other Duties: Complete additional tasks as assigned by the Supervisor of Facilities to support building operations

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent
