Certified Surgical Tech CVOR

Schedule: 40 hours per week on an evening shift. The schedule consists of two (2) 8-hour shifts and two (2) 12-hour shifts, with shifts occurring anytime between 6:30 a.m. and 11:00 p.m., based on staffing needs. Weekend rotation and call duties will be included and distributed equitably among staff members.

Assignment Details: Must have 5+ years total Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) experience, with 2+ years in cardiac & vascular, 1 year of CVOR experience, and 1 year in a Level I Trauma facility.

Requirements

• Certified Surgical Technologist certification
• BLS certification
• Experience with general OR, thoracic, vascular, and CVOR procedures (CABG, EVAR, TEVAR, valve replacement, etc.)
• Aseptic technique knowledge
• Experience with crash cart, scrub & circulate duties
• Equipment documentation proficiency
• Experience with cardiovascular/thoracic instrument reprocessing
• Familiarity with EPIC charting system

Responsibilities

• Assist with surgical procedures in the CVOR setting
• Maintain a sterile field during surgeries
• Prepare surgical instruments and equipment
• Document necessary information in compliance with protocols
• Collaborate with surgical team members to ensure patient safety
• Participate in call duties as assigned
