Addiction Counselor

We are seeking an experienced Addiction Counselor to provide compassionate, trauma-informed care to adults with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders.

Position Overview:

Conduct individual interviews and screening assessments with patients to determine treatment needs and appropriate levels of care.

Assess patients for substance use and co-occurring mental health concerns.

Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and assessment findings.

Use a strengths-based, trauma-informed, and gender-responsive approach when working with patients.

Collaborate with patients, families, referral sources, and internal/external treatment teams to coordinate care.

Provide clinical consultation and support to patients, families, mentors, and referral resources as appropriate.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Behavioral Health, or another related health field required.

Minimum 1-2 years of clinical experience in an alcohol and other drug (AOD), substance use, behavioral health, or mental health setting required.

Experience working with individuals with substance use and/or co-occurring disorders preferred.

Experience in trauma-informed care preferred.

Knowledge of cognitive behavioral therapies, DBT, motivational therapies, and recovery support systems preferred.
