Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour (possible 6-month contract)Shift: The Chemical Operators will work a 2/2/3 shift schedule between 7am-7pm. They will rotate to a night shift every 4 weeks. The times will be 7pm – 7am. Pay rate increases $2.00/hour when on night shift. What’s a typical day as Chemical Operator? You’ll be:
  • Loading raw materials into vessels and assisting with milling and blending in various batch plants
  • Operating fork trucks, hand trucks, and other material moving equipment (forklift operation required, but not the main task)
  • Loading finished solid products into drums and sacks
  • Completing daily production documentation accurately
  • Identifying and reporting safety violations or concerns and performing assigned duties as needed
  • Supporting team members with chemical process operations and additional tasks as required
  • Maintaining excellent housekeeping and following all safety protocols
  • Working in areas requiring respirator and hearing protection (medical testing provided)
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
  • Have a GED or High School Diploma
  • Possess basic computer skills
  • Are a reliable team player with strong attendance, safety, and housekeeping habits
  • Have effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Can safely lift and carry up to 55 lbs.
  • Are able to work 12-hour rotating shifts and overtime as required
  • Can pass medical clearance to wear a respirator and work with required PPE/masks/shields
  • Are comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
