Associate Director, MLOps Engineering

PathAI seeks an Associate Director of MLOps Engineering to lead machine learning infrastructure and operations. This role oversees a team responsible for AI/ML platform scalability, cloud infrastructure, and production deployment pipelines supporting pathology AI applications.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute long-term MLOps vision and roadmap across business units
Lead and mentor team of 6-7+ engineers on strategic initiatives and service support
Partner cross-functionally to identify bottlenecks and facilitate new solution deployment
Architect compute and storage pipelines for large-scale medical imaging and model training
Modernize inference stack to support 5-10x growth in global AI deployments

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
8–10+ years software or ML engineering experience
4+ years managing engineering teams and platform strategy
Production-grade MLOps or ML infrastructure framework development experience
Track record growing teams, managing cloud budgets, and driving platform adoption
Deep technical expertise with ML workloads on Kubernetes
