Lead Operator 1

Lead Operator 1 position at Becton Dickinson in Broken Bow, Nebraska, overseeing production equipment operation, maintenance, and personnel development in a medical device manufacturing facility. Reports to Manufacturing Supervisor and ensures timely output, product quality, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and motivate production personnel; foster collaboration and accountability
- Operate, set up, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production equipment
- Monitor production performance and product quality; coordinate with departments on workflow
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and maintain accurate production documentation
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives and drive OEE gains
Requirements
- High school diploma minimum; technical training beyond secondary preferred
- 1 year manufacturing experience with equipment operation and team leadership
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving capabilities
- Foundational knowledge in equipment setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Ability to read, write, and understand English fluently
- Flexibility for scheduling to support maintenance and production needs
- Must obtain Lead Operator 1 certification within 1 year of hire
