This role involves maintaining adequate supplies, handling medical gas tanks, and processing used equipment to ensure smooth department operations.

Education: Candidates must be enrolled in good standing in an AMA-approved Respiratory Care Program. Verification of successful completion of a competency evaluation in respiratory care procedures, as defined by the regional Respiratory Care Board, is required. Additionally, BLS certification from the American Heart Association and registration as a Respiratory Care Assistant (RCA) with the appropriate board are mandatory.

Experience and Requirements: The ideal candidate remains calm under pressure and communicates effectively with patients, coworkers, and visitors. Manual dexterity to operate and assemble equipment, visual acuity, and physical stamina to stand or walk for extended periods, move patients, and transport heavy equipment are essential. This position may involve exposure to blood and other potentially infectious materials, so adherence to safety protocols is critical.
