Maintenance Director

Maintenance Director Prime Healthcare | Skilled Nursing Facility Prime Healthcare is seeking an experienced and dependable Maintenance Director to join the leadership team of a skilled nursing facility. We are looking for a hands‑on leader who takes pride in maintaining a safe, clean, comfortable, and well-functioning environment for our residents and staff. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of facility maintenance, preventative maintenance, and Life Safety requirements, with previous healthcare or skilled nursing experience strongly preferred. What You’ll Do Oversee the daily operations of the Maintenance Department Develop, implement, and maintain preventative maintenance programs Ensure the facility, equipment, systems, and grounds are properly maintained Perform routine inspections and identify maintenance or safety concerns Maintain maintenance policies, procedures, records, and required documentation Coordinate maintenance needs with Nursing, Dietary, Environmental Services, and other departments Ensure storage areas, utility rooms, workspaces, and maintenance areas remain organized and compliant Coordinate and oversee outside vendors, contractors, and service providers Participate in facility surveys and inspections conducted by authorized agencies Assist with plans of correction for any maintenance or Life Safety deficiencies Monitor equipment, supplies, repairs, and maintenance-related expenses Ensure work orders and maintenance requests are completed timely and appropriately Work closely with the Administrator and facility leadership to maintain a safe and welcoming environment What We’re Looking For Previous maintenance experience required Previous Long-Term Care (LTC) or Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) experience strongly preferred Knowledge of Life Safety regulations and healthcare facility requirements preferred Preventative maintenance experience Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Ability to prioritize multiple projects and maintenance needs Ability to work independently while collaborating with facility leadership Dependable, responsive, and comfortable taking a hands‑on approach when needed Why Join Our Team?
