A full-time Pharmacy Supervisor opportunity is available in an animal health compounding pharmacy environment located in Bakersfield, CA. This onsite role involves leading a skilled team of pharmacists who produce high-quality compounded preparations tailored for veterinary use. The ideal candidate will have a strong management background and a commitment to maintaining the highest quality and compliance standards.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of pharmacists to meet productivity and quality goals.
- Oversee daily compounding pharmacy operations and workflow.
- Ensure compliance with USP <795> , <797> , <800> , State Board regulations, and 503A requirements.
- Maintain accurate training records and enforce proper compounding procedures.
- Assist in drug selection for dispensing and compounded products.
- Identify areas for process or formulation improvements to enhance operations.
- Collaborate with pharmacy leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Uphold confidentiality and comply with company policies and regulatory guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Current California Pharmacist license in good standing.
- BS in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited pharmacy school.
- Minimum 2 years managing pharmacy staff in a lab setting.
- 2–5 years of compounding pharmacy experience.
- Strong working knowledge of USP standards, state regulations, and 503A guidelines.
- Demonstrated leadership, mentoring, and effective communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Location: Bakersfield, California
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:15 AM – 5:15 PM
Compensation: $160,000–$185,000 base salary plus bonus, commensurate with experience
