Must-Have:
- Comfort with mixed acuity unit ratios from ICU to some progressive care unit ratios.
- Previous experience with cardiac surgery patients including CABG, TAVR, SAVR, MVR, and VATS.
- Skills in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, post-cardiac surgery care, and titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips.


Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for our ICU unit.
This position involves caring for patients with diverse needs, including cardiovascular surgery and oncology.
The nurse will work in a mixed acuity unit, requiring flexibility in patient care.
The typical patient ratios are 1:2 in ICU and 1:3-4 in progressive care.
Experience in managing arterial lines, blood product administration, and central line care is essential.
Candidates should be familiar with care for ventilated patients and ventilator management.
Charge nurse experience is preferred but not mandatory.
The role requires teamwork with various interdisciplinary services, including physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy.
Weekend and holiday shifts are mandatory, with a requirement to work 2 out of 3 major holidays.
Candidates must be open to floating within the facility as needed.
Additional preferred skills include management of intra-aortic balloon pumps and ventricular assist devices.
All patient rooms are private and equipped with overhead lifts.
