Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Labor and Delivery Discipline: RN Start Date: 11/16/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Summary The California-based Labor and Delivery (L&D) Department is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for an overnight position at the acute care hospital setting. This role involves providing specialized care for patients during labor, delivery, and postpartum, ensuring the safety and well-being of both mother and baby. The position requires a minimum of two years of experience in labor and delivery and strong clinical skills to manage high-acuity patients. Job Details Position: Registered Nurse Labor and Delivery (L&D) Location: California Schedule: Nights; 12-hour shifts; minimum 36 hours per week Required Qualifications: Certifications in ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP; at least 2 years of experience in labor and delivery; valid California license (compact license accepted) Preferred Qualifications: AWHONN Advanced certification, experience with neonatal and obstetric high-risk assessments, ability to float between units Additional Information: Orientation: 40 hours Must include response to the following from the candidate with submission: Have you ever worked at a Providence facility as a permanent employee, on a travel contract, or as registry/per-diem? If yes, please include location and dates worked. References Required: 2 references covering 1 year (6 months for CNAs) within the last 3 years during the compliance process and prior to start. Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities nearby your contracted facility. Refusal to float may result in termination or forfeiture of guaranteed hours. Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Years Day). Must request all RTO / specific scheduling requests up-front during submittal; post submittal RTO may not be considered or granted. No Call-In: Candidates should not reach out to facility contacts directly unless for an interview scheduled by the account manager. Modules are non-billable, average 16 hours spent, completed pre-start, and annually.
