Let’s get to work! We have a part-time or full-time opportunity for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - in Chandler, AZ. Clinic hours are M-F 8am-6pm and we offer flexibility with shift start/end times. Evening and weekend hours may be required depending on client needs. Responsibilities Treat pediatric patients in needs of occupational therapy based on occupational therapy evaluation and treatment plan under the guidance of the Lead Occupational Therapist Educate and train clients/parents/caregivers on compensatory strategies, exercises/stretching, sensory diets, ADL skills, etc. Collaborate with other therapists and assistants Uses pediatric based behavior management strategies and matches diagnostic/therapeutic interventions to age and disability of children Preparation and participation in in-service training programs as needed Qualifications Required: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in the state of Arizona Minimum 1 year of pediatric experience preferred Experience working with children on the Autism Spectrum is highly preferred Passion for sensory-based therapy and working with children and families Self-motivated, creative, resourceful, and eager to learn Excellent written and verbal communication skills Must be able to pass a background check Must obtain a Fingerprint Clearance Card Must acquire certifications in CPR/First Aid Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and provide physically active engagement with children. This is an active job. You may have to lift and carry clients. You will be required to move with the client, which means you will be kneeling, squatting, standing, and sitting on the floor for extended periods of time.
