Hourly Wage Estimate: $51.37 - $75.11 / hour Job Summary & Qualifications We are seeking an experienced Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team of healthcare professionals. In this role, you will provide the best possible preventative and supportive care to each patient based upon their individual needs. We are looking for a team member who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do. Responsibilities Formulate a plan of care for patients with complicated medical problems in collaboration with patients and families, based on observation and interpretation of information. Perform essential nursing skills, explain health treatments, and educate patients and families on health care requirements. Delegate tasks to health team members within their legal scope of practice, follow up, and provide effective clinical guidance; perform charge nurse duties as assigned. Evaluate the effectiveness of the plan of care through observation and communication, and modify the plan as needed. Act as the patient’s advocate, initiating procedures to improve health care or alter decisions that are against the patient’s interests, and provide opportunities for informed decision‑making. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred. Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Nevada. Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification required. PCAR certification within one year of hire. Current acute clinical critical care experience. Pediatric critical care experience preferred.
