Sterile Processing Tech | Peri Op | Full Time

Responsibilities/Duties: • Clean, decontaminate, inspect, assemble, package, sterilize, store, and distribute medical and surgical supplies and equipment according to established protocols and manufacturer instructions for use (IFUs). • Safely operate and maintain sterile processing equipment in accordance with manufacturer guidelines. • Monitor, interpret, and document physical, chemical, and biological indicators for all sterilization processes. • Prepare and distribute surgical case carts based on physician preference cards and perioperative needs. • Receive, inventory, stock, and rotate supplies used to support sterile processing services. • Follow all safety procedures when handling cleaning agents, supplies, and equipment. • Maintain cleanliness and organization of sterile processing work areas. • Perform other duties as assigned. Education/Experience: • High school diploma or equivalent required. • One year of sterile processing experience preferred, but not required. • On-the-job training provided for applicants without prior experience, consisting of online coursework and hands-on training with a preceptor. Certifications required within one year of hire: • Central Supply Processing Department Technician (CSPDT) or Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) • Certified Instrument Specialist (CIS) • Certified Endoscope Reprocessor (CER) • All required certifications must be maintained annually Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
