Job Summary and Qualifications\n \n \n Under the general direction of the HCA Midwest Maternal Transport Coordinator, Transport Program Director and Transport Medical Director (Maternal Leadership Team), the NICU Transport Nurse, functions to identify, plan, implement and evaluate the stabilization and emergency care of NICU patients in collaboration with the Medical Control Provider.\n Commitment to performing daily transport responsibilities each shift. Serves as an exceptional ambassador for HCA to referring facilities, staff, and providers.\n The NICU Transport RN practices in accordance with philosophy, policies, procedures and standards of the hospital: functions within the guidelines of the protocols for the transport program that are reviewed and agreed on by the HCA Midwest Maternal Leadership Team.\n Care is provided in accordance with hospital policies and procedures, applicable state Nurse Practice Acts, and AAP Guidelines for Air and Ground Transport.\n Transport RN team delivers critical neonatal care primarily by ground and helicopter (with occasional fixed-wing) across a regional radius, backed by full procedural scope, robust training, and a collaborative unit-based model.\n Schedule: Full-time Nights; 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM; 3 12-hr shifts plus rotating weekends.\n \n \n \n \n \n \n What qualifications you will need:\n \n \n Graduate of school of nursing required.\n Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation\n BCLS and NRP required upon hire and maintained while in this role.\n Minimum of 3 years current clinical experience as a NICU RN working in a tertiary obstetrical care center.\n \n \n \n \n Benefits\n Overland Park Regional Medical Center, offers a total rewards package that supports the health, life, career and retirement of our colleagues.
