Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity working with young learners in a dedicated separate setting classroom for ages 6-8. This position is available immediately and continues through the end of the school year, offering the chance to make a significant difference during a critical developmental stage. As a Special Education Teacher, you’ll provide support and tailored instruction for elementary school students, helping them achieve their educational goals in a supportive environment.

Key Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid Special Education Teacher certification, with experience in elementary settings preferred
  • Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
  • Familiarity with behavioral interventions and individualized instructional strategies
  • Ability to foster an inclusive and positive learning environment for students with diverse needs
  • Patient, adaptable, and collaborative with excellent communication skills

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver instruction in a separate setting classroom, tailored to individual student needs
  • Develop, review, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with families and team members
  • Create and maintain a structured and nurturing classroom atmosphere
  • Work closely with support staff and related service providers to implement accommodations
  • Regularly assess students’ progress and adjust teaching methods as needed
  • Communicate with parents and caregivers to support student growth and well-being
