Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, weekdays with every other weekend required. Flexible contract options: 36 or 48 hours per week (your choice). Overtime available after 48 hours for 4x12 schedules.

Highlights:

• 37-bed Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit serving a diverse adult patient population with varying acuity levels from uncomplicated to sub-critical
• Patient population includes post-operative transplant patients, cardiac monitoring patients, and a wide range of medical conditions including COPD, cardiac, diabetes, overflow neuro/ortho, and post-surgical patients
• 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio with all beds monitored via telemetry
• Level 1 Trauma Center and major teaching facility with 855 staffed beds
• Cerner EMR system with IV team support available
• Free parking in attached garage for travel staff

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• At least 1+ years of Medical-Surgical/Telemetry specialty experience
• Current West Virginia or Compact RN license (pending license accepted for submission)
• BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association required)
• Candidates must reside at least 75 miles from the facility
• Minimum of 2 manager or charge nurse references from the past 2 years
• Flu vaccination required during flu season (October 1 – March 31) unless medical exemption documented
• Willingness to float to like units within scope of practice as needed
• First-time travelers accepted
