About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: MS/Tele Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: Active license required Certifications: BLS required, EKG exam required Must-Have: Previous charge RN experience preferred, EPIC experience required Description: Posted as MS Tele due to EKG requirement for all RNs and tele-capable unit. Patient population will be primarily medical/surgical. 3x12 shifts, days, 7a-7p every other week. Holidays as needed. Float required if necessary. All travelers may be required to float across all facilities. Observation patients, respiratory conditions, and general medical/surgical diagnoses are appropriate. Palliative, end-of-life, and hospice patients will be included. Psychiatric observation, diabetes management, and surgical patients will also be part of the care provided. Traveler will be required to pass an EKG exam during onboarding. Required skills include BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, chest tube care, and feeding tube care. Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias are essential. Nasal cannula and oral suctioning experience are required. PICC line management and pre/post hemodialysis management skills are necessary. Telemetry experience is vital. Wound care and vacuum dressing experience will be important. Daily patient census is approximately 16. Facility supports interdisciplinary teams including IV teams, physical therapy, and social services. Travelers may be floated to any campus as required. Compliance EKG exam must be passed with two attempts allowed. Modules are non-billable and completed during orientation.
