Registered Nurse - CVOR

Job Summary:


Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to support the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) team. The RN will provide specialized perioperative care during complex cardiac and vascular surgeries in a high-volume, state-of-the-art surgical environment.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive perioperative nursing care in the CVOR.
• Circulate and scrub during complex surgical procedures such as valve replacements, CABG, TAVR, and endovascular surgeries.
• Ensure adherence to sterile techniques and safety protocols throughout all procedures.
• Document patient care accurately in electronic health records, specifically EPIC.
• Assist with preoperative preparation and postoperative recovery for cardiovascular patients.
• Maintain compliance with licensure, certifications, and hospital policies, including on-call and holiday scheduling.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active NJ or Compact RN license at the time of submission.
• Possess a minimum of 2.5 years of circulating experience in CVOR or high-acuity surgical units.
• Demonstrate experience with transplant procedures, cardiac valve surgeries, and endovascular techniques.
• Certified in BLS; additional cardiovascular certifications preferred.
• Be proficient in EPIC electronic medical record systems and charting procedures.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume surgical environment.
