Description

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients utilizing a combination of standardized assessments and observational methods.
• Craft individualized treatment plans tailored to both short-term objectives and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
• Deliver one-on-one therapeutic interventions aimed at improving communication, language skills, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing ability.
• Collaborate closely with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and family members to ensure integrated care strategies.
• Educate patients and their families to promote progress between clinical sessions.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapy sessions, maintaining consistent care throughout their recovery journey.
• Keep precise, timely documentation in compliance with state, federal, and organizational policies.
• Engage in ongoing education and collaborations with peers to stay abreast of innovations within the field.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year if not already ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Valid state license as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferable.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
