LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse - FT Nights/Weekends

Location GSS NE Albion – 1222 S 7th St, Albion, NE 68620, USA Shift & Schedule 12 Hours – Night Shifts. Full time. Weekly Hours: 40.00. Salary Range: $24.00 - $36.00 per hour. Sign‑on Bonus: $10,000 available. Job Summary The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides professional nursing care for residents of all ages in long‑term care, under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician. The LPN demonstrates knowledge of nursing principles for the resident in a relevant clinical setting, practices within the full scope of nursing expertise, and utilizes appropriate standards related to the resident’s physical and psychosocial needs as per the care plan. They perform testing to evaluate data reflective of the resident’s status, recognize problems, recommend solutions, and respond effectively in emergent situations. The LPN ensures resident health, comfort, and safety, contributes to resident assessment, administers medications or treatments as ordered, provides technical support to healthcare professionals as needed, documents interactions and outcomes, establishes and maintains effective working relationships with residents, health care providers and the public, works effectively within an interdisciplinary team, and maintains confidentiality of sensitive information. They counsel residents, family members and/or resident advocates under the direction of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider or physician on prevention and treatment plans and apply resident education principles to develop a self‑care program. Other related duties are performed as assigned. Qualifications Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred. If the position requires IV therapy/management skills, a graduation from a Board approved AASPN program where IV therapy is part of the curriculum or completion of an IV Therapy course approved by the North Dakota Board of Nursing is required. Must have attended a pre‑licensure nursing program that included supervised clinical experience across the lifespan or have a minimum of 400 hours of experience as LPN at another facility. Currently holds an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse license with the State Nursing Board and/or possesses multi‑state licensure privileges. Obtains and maintains required department‑specific competencies and certifications. Completes required annual continuing education units (CEU) and competency training of the department and facility.
