Adolescent Medicine Specialist

Location: Phoenix, AZ

Our organization is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible physician specializing in Adolescent Medicine. We are particularly interested in candidates who are passionate about serving a safety net population, engaging in teaching, and enhancing clinical quality.

The selected candidate will become part of a pediatric department that focuses on medical education and patient care within a public teaching hospital located in Phoenix, AZ. This facility, affiliated with the Creighton University School of Medicine and the University of Arizona College of Medicine - Phoenix, offers a range of pediatric services, including:

• A 24-hour Pediatric Emergency Department
• A 10-bed Pediatric inpatient unit
• A 6-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)
• A busy newborn nursery
• A Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
• Multiple Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) providing pediatric primary care

This role primarily involves delivering comprehensive outpatient services that cater to a wide array of adolescent health issues, such as eating disorders, sexual and reproductive health, and integrated mental health care. Clinics for adolescent medicine are frequently conducted alongside pediatric residents and medical students. Our pediatric residency program, in collaboration with Phoenix Children’s Hospital, accommodates forty residents annually. There are also excellent opportunities for participation in research and quality improvement projects.
