Electrician II

Summary of Work At the North Dakota National Guard, we stand by our mission to provide ready units, individuals and equipment to support our communities, state, and nation. We are looking for a candidate who identifies with this mission and has a passion for serving the citizens in our great state as an Electrician II. Responsibilities Troubleshoot, repair and maintain electrical systems and controls. Follow a program of systematic maintenance checks and inspections on a wide variety of building systems. Assist with the plan, design and layout of new electrical projects; estimate time, labor and materials. Perform installation, alteration, maintenance and repair of electrical systems and equipment. Conduct daily inspection of all heating and cooling systems controls. Apply standards and specifications of the National Electrical Code. Maintain and repair HVAC systems. Install air conditioning systems; assist with the use, storage, reclamation and disposal of refrigerants. Follow established electrical and safety procedures. Use Microsoft Office and Work Management software. Lifting up to 50 lbs and bending, standing, and reaching for extended periods; tolerate loud noises and hot/cold temperatures; work in high and confined spaces. Possess a valid ND driver's license. Travel within the state as required. Perform other related duties as required or assigned. Minimum Qualifications This position requires licensure as a journeyman electrician (NDCC 43-09-11). Successful completion of the interview process, reference checks and a background investigation are required.
