Maintain, setup, and operate Box/Internal Quench furnaces and support equipment including endothermic gas generator, transfer cart, quench presses, and tempering oven. Perform light lathe work to support the department. Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift 25 lbs and reach, bend, squat, and stand for 10 hours per day. Must be able to work in cramped and confined areas. Must be certifiable for respirator use. Special Skills Good industrial mechanical aptitude. Able to work closely with othersable to multitask. Able to work with minimal supervisionself starter. Engine Lathe Experience Required. Fabrication/welding experience required. Safety Focusedability to work safely around very hot equipment/parts. Required to follow and uphold established procedures. Detail orientedpaper work and record keeping. Understanding of instrumentation and process control methods Responsibilities Schedule material through the furnaces to meet production needs. Monitor and adjust furnace controls Setup and operate quench presses. Maintain equipment in good operating condition by complying with the TPM checklist. #J-18808-Ljbffr
