Key Responsibilities of the Respiratory Therapist

Administer respiratory therapy treatments to patients as prescribed
Monitor patient progress and respond to changes in respiratory status
Educate patients and families on respiratory care techniques
Maintain and calibrate respiratory therapy equipment
Document patient care and treatment plans accurately

Requirements of the Respiratory Therapist

Valid Respiratory Care License
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Experience in a clinical respiratory setting
