About the Position

Job Title: Sonographer Profession: Sonographer Specialty: Echo Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Monday to Friday Hours per Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience required, with at least 1 travel contract completed. License: Active Iowa license required at time of submission. Certifications: RDCS, BCLS required. RCS is acceptable. Must-Have: - Minimum of 2 years of current Cardiovascular Vascular Sonographer experience required. - Skills checklist must be specific to the discipline of Cardiovascular Vascular Sonographer. - Professional reference from charge, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO performance evaluation within the last 24 months preferred. - Driver's license required. - Certification from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Cardiovascular Credentialing International required. - Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer certification required. - AHA/American Heart Association or ARC/American Red Cross BLS certification required. Description: The traveler will contribute professional and clinical knowledge and skills in the provision and management of care to patients. The traveler may be asked to float within the same discipline across local campuses. The expectation is to complete 7-8 scans per day. The traveler does not need a full cardiovascular skill set but a solid Echo tech is needed. Candidates must have Epic experience. Availability to work 1-2 of the following summer holidays is necessary: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day. Additional responsibilities include being on call for 1-2 nights a week and 1-2 weekends a month, depending on staffing needs.
