MRI Technologist

Job Summary Shields Health Care Group’s MRI Technologists support the integrity of the organization with their commitment to excellence. The MRI technologist will provide a professional, caring atmosphere to all customer groups, while maintaining a fast‑paced, multi‑tasked oriented clinical environment. Responsibilities Follow all proper policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure patient safety at all times. Inform the patient of all aspects of their exam to their level of understanding. Ensure the patient is cleared of all contraindications and hazards. Accurately position the patient and ensure their comfort. Maintain visual and verbal contact with the patient during the exam. Perform scan in accordance with center’s protocol. Administer intravenous contrast. Complete all forms pertaining to the patient’s exam. Record patient data to Tech Data Entry program. Provide and issue films/CD when appropriate. Forward data and/or films/CD to Radiologist upon completion of exam. Assist clerical staff as circumstances arise. Clean and re‑supply equipment and rooms as needed. Adhere to all necessary training/licenses based on the credentialing policy. Qualifications Prior MRI scanning experience. Required certifications: MRI/ARRT/CPR; ARMRIT accepted at some locations. Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to sit and use a computer for extended periods of time. Skill in assisting patients with mobility difficulties. Availability to participate in a call schedule/rotation for some inpatient locations. Capability to push, pull, and lift a minimum of twenty‑five pounds. Physical requirements can be met with or without accommodation. Compensation & Additional Information Pay range for this position is $40–$60 per hour plus benefits. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
