Physical Therapist - Travel Contract

Looking for a change of scenery and a chance to help others. Join a travel Physical Therapist role in Newton, KS at an outpatient clinic where you will help patients recover from injuries and manage chronic conditions while experiencing a new community. This role evaluates assigned patients, develops and implements treatment plans, documents care, supervises discipline-specific therapy services, and participates in professional development and student training. You will follow state practice acts and facility policies while promoting patient and employee safety.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor‘s, Master‘s, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
• Active Kansas state Physical Therapist license required to start the assignment.
• BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
• Experience in outpatient physical therapy required, including evaluation, plan of care development, goal writing, and documentation in compliance with payer and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to complete clear, concise, and timely medical record documentation, including letters of medical necessity and charge entry.
• Familiarity with safe patient handling, infection control, and workplace safety practices.
• Willingness to participate in student supervision and contribute to clinical education.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous travel or per-diem outpatient clinic experience preferred.
• Experience with performance improvement initiatives and clinical documentation systems preferred.

Assignment Details

• Schedule: 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts.
