\nA day in the life…Lead and oversee all aspects of the development process, ensuring the development activities are carried out according to the highest industry standards.Work to continuously improve the agile development process, with an emphasis on automation, reuse and increased productivity.Interfacing with various internal and external systems and stakeholders.Ensure that the technical solution is in line with the business requirement and technical standards.Partner with the team to support a diverse range of complex initiatives both in development as well as production and regularly lead multiple, technically complex, large-scale projects.Development and end to end support for the applicationTo understand the requirement and write up the storiesTo participate in PI and sprint planning meeting.Interact with Business users to understand the requirementImplement the stories in form of functionality in microservices in Pivotal Cloud FoundryProvide input to support team on Prod issues·\n
\nWhat we are looking for… Required 5+ years of Java implementations (including user interfaces, integrations, and web services) preferredJDK Version 7 to 11 experience (and working knowledge of older versions) preferredJava Services DevelopmentApplication development / deployments on middle-tier application software (e.g. JBoss, WebSphere, etc.)Excellent object-oriented analysis, design, and integration skillsDevOps automated build, test, and deployment skillsDesigning and developing process-based solutionsEnforcement of best practices in Java architecture, design, and codingProof of Concept creation and discussionAgile methodology and Scrum teams experience preferredEstimating and solutioning experienceExperience leading a group of developersAbility to work independently and as a member of a teamInsurance industry experienceStrong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skillsStrong written and verbal communication skills\n
