Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 12-Hour Night Shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Every other weekend and holiday rotation

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to laboring patients and those in active delivery within a high-volume Labor and Delivery unit
• Manage patient care across labor rooms, triage and overnight observation rooms, operating rooms, and PACU settings
• Support patients in an Obstetric Emergency Department (OBED) setting as needed
• Monitor maternal and fetal status throughout labor, delivery, and recovery, escalating concerns appropriately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery RN experience in a mid- to large-sized hospital setting

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in high-volume Labor and Delivery units with approximately 200+ deliveries per month
• Familiarity with triage, overnight observation, and OBED workflows
• Experience working in or alongside Labor and Delivery ORs and PACU environments
