Operating Room Nurse (RN)

Contract/travel assignment in Burbank, California for 13 weeks. Provide high-quality perioperative nursing care and support surgical teams. Opportunity to impact patient outcomes while enjoying competitive compensation and benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality perioperative nursing care in the CVOR unit, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout surgical procedures.
• Collaborate with surgical teams, including surgeons, anesthesiologists, and technicians, to prepare the operating room and assist during procedures.
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation in Cerner EMR, including patient histories, operative notes, and post-operative care instructions.
• Monitor and respond to patient needs during surgery, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and best practices.
• Assist in the setup and sterilization of surgical equipment, and support the team with supplies management and room turnover.

Qualifications:

• Valid California RN license
• ACLS certification
• BLS certification
• Minimum 2 years of operating room experience
• Flexibility with schedule
• Strong antibiotic knowledge
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work in a union environment
• Adaptability to floating if needed

Preferred Skills:

• Previous travel experience preferred
