Respiratory Sales Representative

VieMed Healthcare

VieMed Healthcare is the largest independent specialized provider of non‑invasive ventilation in the U.S. home respiratory health‑care industry. We specialize in treating the most challenging respiratory patients in the home by pairing best‑in‑class technology and equipment with the clinical care of a full‑time Respiratory Therapist. We aim to be the leading provider in post‑acute in‑home care, implementing palliative services. Our Disease Management program has earned national attention, making us the number one independent ventilation provider in the United States. In recent studies of our patient population, we have shown a 30‑day COPD re‑admission rate of 5.7% compared to the industry average of 20‑22%*. Over 93% of our patients say they actually “Breathe Better” on our treatment program. Position Summary This field‑based, business‑development, hands‑on clinical sales position requires a patient advocate with a drive and skill to positively represent VieMed. The role identifies and initiates one‑on‑one dialogue with new referral sources and maintains positive relationships with existing sources. The candidate leverages clinical and sales expertise to develop sales strategies that drive our disease‑management program and respiratory products into וועט new markets, growing the business within the assigned territory. The candidate spends 80% or more of the time in the field: networking, building relationships, and educating hospital referral sources—pulmonologists, hospitalists, critical‑care physicians, case managers, and social workers—on the benefits of our program. Essential Sales Duties and Responsibilities Market VieMed’s disease‑management program to potential and existing referral sources Develop sales territory action plans and call strategies to maintain ongoing business and apply consultative, strategic selling skills to grow business in the territory Coordinate and provide educational presentations and in‑services for healthcare providers Maintain account activity, sales documentation, reports, and territory management Partner with all clinical, managerial, and sales staff to promote our home respiratory therapy services to referral sources and drive sales growth Work.endswith office staff to ensure prompt and accurate billing and documentation, including coverage guidelines for third‑party payors Be available for patient contact and response to patient needs Maintain a performance level that meets or exceeds sales quotas Other duties/projects as assigned Competencies Build and maintain solid relationships with internal and external referral sources in the territory Communicate effectively orally and in writing with physicians and staff to address questions promptly Plan, implement, and execute strategies independently to achieve sales goals Demonstrate a sense of urgency and strong commitment to results Build relationships with referral sources, patients, and caregivers Maintain strong organizational, priorit mwen, and territory management skills Be flexible, self‑driven, accountable for results, autonomous, yet supportive of team efforts Sales Requirements Resourceful problem‑solver in a fast‑paced environment Well‑connected with pulmonary, critical‑care, and hospitalist physicians within the territory მესამე (required) Provide three informal letters of recommendation from pulmonologists (required) Current, valid, active state driver’s license with a clean record and reliable transportation Sales Experience Proven track record of successful sales experience in a healthcare setting and working with physicians, nursing management, discharge planners, case managers, and social Supported At least two years full‑life cycle healthcare sales experience from education on referral sources through follow‑up At least two years clinical liaison experience, preferably in LTACH-level care Previous marketing or LTACH marketing experience Previous clinical liaison experience with patient assessment skills Formal sales training preferred Respiratory Therapist Essential Duties and Responsibilities Install/deliver respiratory therapist equipment and supplies; assess patients and equipment continuously Maintain clinical contact with physicians, contacts, and other care providers Maintain records, charting, progress notes, clinical files, equipment records, and preventive maintenance records Accurately inventory all VieMed assets and supplies Update all demographic information as needed Ensure compliance with all regulatory rules and guidelines pertaining to the therapist staff Communicate effectively, adhere to cost‑containment policies and procedures Work with office staff for prompt, accurate billing and documentation per third‑party payors Ensure proper, accurate, and safe operations of all equipment before installation Be available for patient contact and response to patient needs Work with on‑call therapists on a rotating schedule Collaborate with other therapists and departments to complete tasks Other duties/projects as assigned Licensure and Requirements Clinical licensure required (RT, RRT, CRT, RCP) Current respiratory therapist license in the state of practice Extensive experience in hospital setting, including ICU/CCU adult ventilator management Previous rehabilitation/LTACH experience preferred Valid driver’s license with clean record and reliable transportation required Employment contingent upon drug screening test and background check Work Environment Sales: Works in the field, marketing to existing and potential referral sources Contact pulmonologists, hospitalists, critical care physicians, hospitals, case managers, social workers, etc. VieMed Offers změna Competitive base salary Uncapped commissions Excellent orientation program Health, dental, and vision insurance PTO 401(k) retirement plan Monthly cell phone allowance Marketing allowance Life insurance And much more You will be expected to work during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. This description is not designed to cover and/or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities required of the employee for this job.
