Procurement Manager

Leadership And Team Management

Supervise and develop operational procurement teams (10+ employees), ensuring alignment with corporate policies and compliance standards.

Ensure appropriate staffing levels and required skill sets to support procurement operations in a regulated pharmaceutical environment.

Coach team leaders, set performance goals, and drive individual development plans.

Build a strong procurement organization with clear roles, backup structures, and high-quality service delivery.

Procurement Operations And Process Excellence

Provide strategic oversight of end-to-end procurement operations including vendor onboarding, master data governance, catalog optimization, and contract administration.

Manage procurement analytics and reporting to ensure accurate and timely KPI delivery.

Ensure consistent execution of SLAs with transparent reporting to stakeholders.

Maintain compliant documentation aligned with audit and regulatory requirements.

Act as the primary liaison for procurement-related audits.

Strategic Alignment And Governance

Ensure compliance with corporate procurement policies and pharmaceutical industry standards (including GxP where applicable).

Translate global procurement strategies into effective local execution.

Collaborate with Global Business Services (GBS) and Procurement COEs to drive standardization and continuous improvement.

Implementation And Transformation

Lead implementation of procurement operating models aligned with organizational strategy.

Support fit-gap analysis, training coordination, and change management initiatives.

Partner with global teams to resolve issues during implementation and stabilization phases.

Track KPIs and participate in governance reviews to ensure successful delivery.

Continuous Improvement And Risk Management

Identify risks, inefficiencies, and compliance gaps within procurement processes and implement corrective actions.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and quality.

Ensure proactive issue resolution through stakeholder engagement.

Support cross-functional and global procurement initiatives.

Required Qualifications Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.

Experience

Minimum 8 years of procurement or supply chain experience.

At least 3 years of leadership or people management experience.

Experience in regulated environments, preferably pharmaceutical industry.

Experience supporting shared services or procurement transformation initiatives preferred.

Technical Skills

Strong knowledge of end-to-end procurement and P2P processes (PR/PO, AP, T&E, payments).

Hands-on experience with SAP MM, SAP FI, ARIBA, and ServiceNow.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
