Job Summary The Bus Operator is responsible for safely delivering employee shuttle passengers to assigned airport area in accordance with passenger specifications. Promotes and adheres to policies concerning safety, anti-harassment and equal employment opportunity. Performs pre- and post-DVIR safety checks of the assigned bus. Follows and maintains safety protocols, using safety exercises as recommended best practices. Conducts and maintains a professional appearance while on duty. Provides customer service that aligns with bus service. Is able and willing to transport buses to and from the maintenance shop for preventive maintenance service. Always adheres to traffic safety regulations, exercises caution in treacherous circumstances, and reports unsafe vehicle or road conditions to supervisors. Uses CB radios to stay informed of route information and communicate with supervisor and colleagues. May be required to assist with bags no more than 13 pounds. Coordinates with clients in performing additional operation activities regarding passenger/crew movement from a remote area to the terminal. Performs other related duties as assigned within the appropriate skill and experience capabilities expected for this position. High School diploma, GED or equivalent education. Must be able to obtain credentials required as per airport or state or customs requirements. Possess a valid TN CDL A or B with a P endorsement. Preferred Qualifications One year of relevant work experience in the bussing/shuttle industry. Physical Requirements Must be able to constantly lift, move up to 70 lbs, push, pull; and constantly walk, stand, reach above shoulder, climb, crawl, stoop, squat, kneel, reach, grasp outwards and bend. Working Conditions Must be able to work rotating shifts and hours, nights, weekends and holidays, overtime. Must be able and open to work in outside weather conditions which may include severe seasonal elements.
