A Ph.D. in mathematics by the time of appointment is required. The primary qualification is excellence in teaching; engagement in scholarly activity is also desirable. The successful candidate will teach three courses per semester. This position is a one-year appointment with the possibility of renewal for a second year.**BACKGROUND**is a secular, independent, private institution, founded in 1869.
