Job Title: RN CVICU Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Critical Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Evening/Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Current RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Certification Must-Have: - Experience in critical care nursing - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment Description: We are seeking highly motivated critical care nurses. Our team provides care to some of the most critically ill patients. We frequently receive patients needing care from various regions. Though we serve patients with a variety of diagnoses, our major service lines are cardiothoracic surgery and neuro/neurosurgery. Throughout the pandemic, our team was tasked with providing ICU-level care for patients suffering from COVID-19 infection. We also managed cases requiring extra-corporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO). Unit capacity consists of 15 beds. The population served includes patients with cardiac surgery, cardiac transplantation, myocardial infarction, congestive heart failure, cardiogenic shock, cardiomyopathy, arrhythmias, and those post-cardiopulmonary arrest. Patients served range from adolescents to late adults. The typical nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:2. Direct patient care staff consists of registered nurses and patient care technicians.
