This position will work within a multidisciplinary team to maintain, improve, and design test solutions working independently with direction from their manager. Below are some key responsibilities of the role.Develop, improve, and maintain automated test programs using Python, C#, C++, TestStand, LabVIEW, or similar languages and platforms.Upgrade and overhaul existing test systems to improve quality, process control, and operator usability.Analyze operator interactions within test sequences to reduce manual steps and optimize test flow.Define test requirements, plans, and procedures based on existing test equipment and/or product specifications.Analyze test data to support root-cause investigations, improve yield, and drive corrective actions.Support manufacturing by troubleshooting test stations, resolving equipment issues, improving tester designs, and optimizing test throughput.Create detailed electrical schematics and drawings in collaboration with a test technician.Integrate instruments such as DMMs, power supplies, optical power meters, and communication interfaces (Ethernet, RS232).Integrate automation equipment such as electric linear actuators, pneumatic actuators, and vision systems.Perform design reviews and collaborate with design teams to improve product testability and manufacturability.Ensure test systems comply with applicable safety standards and quality processes.Document test system designs, results, maintenance procedures, and calibration requirements.Evaluate electrical designs to ensure the products meet the intended requirements.Collaborate with optical, mechanical, software, and manufacturing engineers to provide globally competitive productsTo perform this job successfully, you must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, and regular attendance is required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to support individuals with disabilities.RequiredBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field.2+ years of experience in electrical test, process, or systems engineering.Proficiency in software development using environments such as C#, C++, Python, or Visual Basic.Experience developing, improving, and troubleshooting test systems on the production floor.Demonstrated ability to analyze electrical schematics and circuit designs to understand circuit functionality, identify critical test points, and develop effective electrical test systems for new and existing products.Experience supporting manufacturing processes, with a strong understanding of process flow and the ability to identify issues and improve product quality and throughput.Proven ability to conceptualize, design, and support the development of test systems that improve efficiency, quality, and process repeatability.Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose electrical, mechanical, and process-related issues.Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.PreferredStrong knowledge of analog and digital circuits.Test software development experience using TestStand or LabVIEW.Strong applied statistical skills to analyze test and manufacturing data, identify process variation, and support yield and continuous improvement efforts.Experience with automated test instrumentation, measurement systems, and/or motion control.Previous experience with Lean manufacturing and/or continuous improvement.Comfortable collaborating with operators, technicians, engineers, and cross-functional teams to improve quality and yield.Working understanding of microcontrollers/microprocessorsAbility to plan and prioritize multiple projects.Physical DemandsSit for up to 8 hours per day.Continuous movement, walking, or standing.Exposed to a computer screen for extended periodsMay require repetitive motions such as utilize a computer mouse, keyboard, computer, and other standard office equipment.Communicate with others frequently.Occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds.Ability to work on-site in a manufacturing environmentWorking EnvironmentCorporate office environment – indoor and climate-controlledExposure to moderate noise, moving mechanical parts, and temperature changes in production areas.PPE may be required in specific areas (e.g., safety glasses, hearing protection)Exposure to various manufacturing, warehousing, or related industrial locations.Moderate noise levels with the occasional loud noise within the work environmentPay and Benefits401(k) with matchStudent Loan 401(k) match programMedical, Dental, and Vision Insurance PlansHSA (Health Savings Account) with company contributionPaid Time Off (PTO)Sales and Profit Sharing EligibilityFlexible work hoursLife InsurancePaid Parental LeavePet InsuranceBase Pay Range : $74,470.00 - $105,064.00The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position.
