Community Engagement Specialist – Role Overview The Community Engagement Specialist will drive the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) platform by operating and maintaining charity‑care programs. This onsite event leader will manage mobile care clinics, coordinate staff and external partners, and serve as the primary point of contact for government officials and media attendees. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage operations of four mobile clinics, one sprinter van, and portable equipment to provide eye care to underserved populations. Plan, travel with, and serve as the event lead for mobile clinic deployments, ensuring smooth execution and patient flow. Identify, capture, and manage all event details related to internal and external business partners, doctors, and volunteers using a shared platform. Collaborate with partners to set up and operate successful clinics, supporting doctors and monitoring volunteer performance. Provide a detailed post‑event report and share lessons learned for future events. Represent the organization to state and federal elected officials, articulating the mobile clinic’s operations and impact. Serve as a spokesperson for media inquiries and participate in annual media training to enhance storytelling skills. Maintain effective communication within the team and with external charitable organizations. Identify and nurture relationships with key charity‑care partners outside the company. Maintain reporting of key program outcomes and progress toward annual targets. Provide support for CSR and charity care efforts as needed or assigned. Key Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience. Minimum 4 years of functional experience with strong project management and problem‑solving skills. Leadership, organizational, and people skills that foster collaboration among internal and external partners. Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities. Adaptability and the ability to prioritize a rapidly evolving workload. Willingness and ability to travel 50‑75% of the time and to work disaster relief duty, including long periods away from home and difficult working conditions. Capacity to work with all levels of employees and management, exercising discretion and independent judgment. Openness to feedback and a strong willingness to learn from management and peers. Compensation Salary Range: $63,000.00 – $108,675.00 (actual pay based on experience and other factors). Eligible for bonuses and commissions as part of the overall compensation package.
