Job Title: Nurse Practitioner - General Surgery, Physician Assistant - General Surgery

Job Description:

VHS is seeking 1-2 capable and reliable providers to support urgent coverage in Santa Rosa from June 1st to August 31st, 2026. Providers should be available for at least 2 weeks on/2 weeks off or more. The shifts are 10 hours long (8am-6pm). Candidates must have a CA license and CA DEA, with a Board Certification or be within 3-5 years of residency if Board Eligible. Physician Assistants must have general surgery experience and hold a PA-C credential; Nurse Practitioners considered must have ACNP certification and be nationally certified.

Candidates should have BLS and ACLS certifications and meet the following requirements:

Active CA License and CA DEA
Board Certified OR recent general surgery experience
2+ years of current hospital clinical activity in the specialty (specialty-specific case logs required upon presentation)
Ability to provide a clean clinical file; incomplete or non-compliant files will result in a decline

Travel reimbursements are as follows:

Not reimbursed: Mileage from home to airport, ride shares/taxis from home to airport and upon return
Reimbursed: Parking at departing airport when driving, pre-approved rental car insurance, ride shares/taxis from destination airport to lodging/hospital and back

To ensure a smooth privileging process, an updated CV with all hospital affiliations must be uploaded at presentation. Consider pre-collecting all required documents to facilitate quick privileges approval.

Hourly Pay Rate: $1.00
