Test Lab Technician/Apprentice

Responsibilities:
- Assist with laboratory testing, including test sample preparation, instrumentation, and supporting complex testing procedures.
- Build wall and floor sections for firestop testing.
- Prepare test samples by diamond coring, cutting, and other required methods.
- Install penetrations and firestop systems in test assemblies.
- Maintain work areas, tools, and equipment in good working condition.
- Complete assignments and special projects efficiently and within required timelines.
- Follow Hilti’s quality standards and support continuous process improvement.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and knowledge of construction tools, equipment, and safety procedures.
- Basic mathematics skills, including algebra and trigonometry.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and sketches.
- Basic carpentry and metalworking skills.
- Valid forklift license.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a laboratory, mechanical testing, or construction-related environment.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
