Job Role and Responsibilities As a MTS Software Development Engineer, you will research, design, develop, and test operating‑system‑level software, compilers, and/or network distribution software for semiconductor operations, applying engineering and mathematical analysis principles. You will work with a team of Machine Learning engineers to enable AI models, libraries, and applications for Instinct GPUs in on‑prem and cloud environments. You will push the boundaries of efficiency and performance to enable and optimize the software ecosystem for next‑generation GPU computational accelerators. You’ll design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for product enhancements and new products, understand and define software requirements and architectures, and develop tools in support of design, infrastructure and technology platforms—including operating systems, compilers, routers, networks, utilities, databases, cloud‑based and Internet‑related tools. You will define proprietary platforms, including hardware and software components, drive software and systems solutions, lead projects or processes of significant technical importance, exercise independent judgment to select methods, techniques and evaluation criteria with minimal supervision, and apply knowledge of computer hardware, software and engineering science to design, develop and test AMD systems and products. Qualifications Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Robotics Engineering, or a related field. At least two (2) years of experience as a software engineer or closely related engineering role.
