Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Delaware Special Education Teacher Certification required
• Proven background in special education teaching or coordination
• Experience leading teams or supporting colleagues in educational settings
• Skilled in developing, implementing, and monitoring IEPs
• Exceptional communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities
• Strong commitment to student advocacy and inclusion
• Capable of fostering positive relationships with students, families, and staff

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direction and coordination for special education staff and services
• Organize and facilitate IEP meetings, collaborating with parents, students, teachers, and IEP teams
• Ensure the effective development, implementation, and compliance of IEPs, in line with federal and state regulations
• Support team members in meeting students’ diverse needs and adapting instruction as necessary
• Advocate for the needs of students with disabilities and work closely with families to support student progress
• Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to ongoing improvement of special education practices
