Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care in a hospital setting
• Assess and anticipate discharge needs of individual patients and families, collaborating with multidisciplinary team members to promote continuity of care
• Demonstrate competence in care of patients with complex problems, including population-appropriate physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety aspects of care
• Perform bedside point-of-care testing as required and utilize organizational nursing standards, policies, and procedures in delivery of care
• Participate in performance improvement activities, unit goal development, and interdepartmental collaboration
• Identify and address cultural and ethnic considerations in patient care planning while promoting a safe, clean, and secure environment

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of one (1) year of nursing experience
• Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited school of nursing
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification (AHA or ARC)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Cath lab experience including STEMI and vascular procedures
• Device experience with Impella and IABP, as well as management of complex IV drips including vasopressors and moderate sedation
• BSN or MSN from an accredited school of nursing
